Trudeau Hints At Another Election In 18 Months If Denied Majority

Trudeau Hints At Another Election In 18 Months If Denied Majority
September 3, 2021 by Elect Conservatives

During last night’s debate, organized by Quebecor-owned TV network TVA, Trudeau was grilled by opposition members and even the debate moderator regarding his decision to launch Canada into an “unnecessary” election during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trudeau’s main line of defence, which convinced none of the three other leaders, was that eighty per cent of people did the “right thing” and got vaccinated, so should we “stop democracy” for the minority 20 per cent of people that aren’t vaccinated?

Ironic that the Liberal Leader would say such a thing, given his party MPs have barely attended in-person parliamentary sessions since 2020, and Trudeau himself prorogued parliament to avoid scrutiny of his corruption with the WE Charity.

From the get-go, Trudeau came out aggressively against all leaders, firing critiques at his opponents at most opportunities and regularly talking over them during one-on-one discussions.

“I don’t think Trudeau has ever been this full of piss and vinegar at a Leaders Debate. Not in ’15. Not in ’19. He’s always faster-paced in French. But he’s got a bolt of lightning up his ass tonight,” tweeted Scott Reid, once an advisor to former Liberal Prime Minister, Paul Martin.

Midway through the debate, Trudeau also threatened that it was possible that Canada could be back in an election in 18 months time if another minority government is elected on September 20th.

“The current minority government is the fifth longest lasting in Canada’s history,” he added.

OUR VIEW:

If the writing on the wall wasn’t already clear enough already, it certainly is now.

This election was never about “the people having a say” on constitutional issues like vaccine passports. It has always been about Trudeau obtaining more power.

If he does not succeed in obtaining a majority government this election, he will just try and try again, regardless of the health risks surrounding pandemics. Trudeau does not care about Canadians, only his futile power grab that the public see straight through.
