No Change: Trudeau Remains In Minority Government

At time of writing, the Liberals have been elected to (or are leading) 158 seats, with the CPC at 119 and the NDP at 25.

It was a relatively short election night as the mainstream media called the election in favour of a Liberal minority around 10:30pm EST.

And the end result? After $600 million+ of taxpayers money spent on an election during the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, barely anything changed.

Trudeau called the election to obtain a majority government and he failed. The CPC remain in opposition, the Bloc and NDP will still have a stranglehold on parliament, and Trudeau will continue to leverage their support to pass through constitutionally violating policies such as mandatory vaccine passports.

All in all, the biggest loser out of this whole election is Canada.

So now, we head into a third Trudeau term, but questions remain as to what happens next. Will the scandals that plagued Trudeau in the last parliament resurface? Will O’Toole keep his job? What happens to Maxime Bernier and the PPC after he lost his riding in Beauce, QC?
 
The biggest question for conservatives, however, must be what the hell has to happen for the Liberals to lose an election? How is it possible that Trudeau remains our Prime Minister after being involved in countless scandals, proposing constitutionally infringing policies, embarrassing the nation on the world stage and leading our economy into record inflation and debt? Even a centre-learning party under Erin O’Toole couldn’t topple the world’s most woke liberal, despite (yet again) winning the nation’s popular vote.

Time will hopefully answer these questions, but for now, Canada remains in a state of uncertainty and conservatives will be scratching their heads about how to topple Trudeau in the future.
