A Lincolnshire Councillor in the United Kingdom has decisively condemned Justin Trudeau’s comments about unvaccinated Canadians and vaccine hesitancy.
Councillor Dr. Peter Moseley, who sits on South Kesteven District Council, posted his comments on Twitter soon after the Canadian Prime Minister delivered his remarks.
Trudeau stated publicly that those who were hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccine were “misogynistic” and “racist”, and questioned whether Canadians as a whole should tolerate them.
However, Dr. Moseley – who has a doctorate in engineering – retorted by saying, “Trudeau has lost his mind. He is completely nuts and is holding an entire country hostage.”
He later called him a “psychopath” and added: “Yep, we can see Trudeau going all Hitler on the population.”
Dr. Moseley also acknowledged vaccinations protected people, but added: “take it for yourself if you choose.”
“So you’re gonna take a group of people, who you know nothing about, who are not actually a group of people, because they have all sorts of reasons for not being vaccinated and you’re gonna actually target them as the Leader of the country! Seriously?”, she said.
While Canadian media doesn’t have the guts to call Trudeau’s comments for what they are, at least our friends across the Atlantic do. Trudeau’s rhetoric emulates that of modern and historical tin-pot dictators, and Canadians should understand how dangerous and polarising such statements are in dividing our nation and ostracizing members of our communities.
